Kosciusko County

Officers with the Kosciusko County Sheriff’s Office investigated the following accidents:

  • 7:46 a.m. Monday, Dec. 7, South CR 1000W north of West CR 700S, Mentone. Drivers: Joshua R. Osborne, 33, South CR 1000W, Mentone, and Kyle A. Ritchey, 31, West Harrison Street, Mentone. Osborne was backing out of his driveway onto South CR 1000W north of West CR 700S, Mentone. His vehicle backed into Ritchey’s. Damage up to $2,500.
  • 6:48 a.m. Monday, Dec. 7, 408 N. Higbee St., Milford. Driver: Hunter D. Miller, 20, West CR 1500N, Silver Lake. Miller was backing his vehicle out of the parking lot at Chore Time in Milford. Miller failed to see and struck another parked vehicle with his one. Damage up to $2,500.
  • 6:54 p.m. Sunday, Dec. 6, East Levi Lee Road east of East Acorn Drive, Warsaw. Driver: Derek E. Tenney, 39, East 8 Square Road, Warsaw. Tenney was traveling eastbound on East Levi Lee Road, Warsaw, when his vehicle hit a cow. Damage up to $50,000.
  • 5:49 p.m. Sunday, Dec. 6, East Levi Lee Road west of North Old SR 15, Warsaw. Driver: Matthew D. Gilbert, 42, Deer Run, Warsaw. Gilbert said he was westbound on Levi Lee Road, Warsaw, when another vehicle sideswiped his, hitting his side mirror. Damage up to $1,000.
  • 12:16 a.m. Sunday, Dec. 6, South CR 700E north of East CR 650S, Pierceton. Driver: Stephanie M. Willcox, 31, West Tower Street, Pierceton. Willcox was traveling southbound on South CR 700E, Pierceton, when her vehicle hit a deer. Damage up to $5,000.
  • 6:48 p.m. Friday, Dec. 4, North SR 13 south of East CR 800N, North Webster. Driver: Sean K. Bergsma, 33, East Defreese Road, Syracuse. Bergsma was traveling northbound on SR 13, North Webster, when his vehicle hit a deer. Damage up to $1,000.
  • 11:45 a.m. Friday, Dec. 4, South CR 400E south of East CR 600S, Warsaw. Driver: Robert A. Craft, 32, South CR 400E, Warsaw. Craft was traveling northbound on CR 400E south of CR 600S, Warsaw, when his vehicle hit a deer. Damage up to $10,000.
  • 7:15 a.m. Friday, Dec. 4, South First Street south of East Catholic Street, Pierceton. Drivers: Ashley D. Holle, 36, East CR 800N, Syracuse, and Layne M. Evans, 55, West Old Trail Road, Pierceton. Holle was traveling out of the parking lot at Lake City Bank in Pierceton. She was making a left hand turn onto South First Street to travel north. She didn’t see Evans’ vehicle and her vehicle collided with it. Holle had a small cut on her hand. Damage up to $25,000.

Kosciusko County and Pierceton

Officers with the Kosciusko County Sheriff’s Office and Pierceton Police Department investigated the following accident:

  • 7:19 p.m. Friday, Dec. 4, South Packerton Road and East CR 900S, Claypool. Driver: Phillip J. Kessie, 45, South CR 950W, South Whitley. Kessie was traveling southbound on South Packerton Road, Claypool, and attempting to turn his vehicle east at the intersection of East CR 900S. His vehicle brakes failed, and his vehicle went off the road and hit a utility pole wire. Damage up to $2,500.

Syracuse

Officers with the Syracuse Police Department investigated the following accident:

  • 5:30 p.m. Friday, Dec. 4, 1009 S. Huntington St., Syracuse. Driver: Kacey J. Lash, 35, South Benton Street, Millersburg. Lash was backing his vehicle out of a parking spot and backed into another vehicle. Damage up to $2,500.

Warsaw

Officers with the Warsaw Police Department investigated the following accidents:

  • 5:52 p.m. Sunday, Dec. 6, South SR 15 and Ranch Road, Warsaw. Drivers: Marissa J. McLean, 18, South Julian Drive, Warsaw, and Andrew P. Hickman, 30, Fisher Avenue, Warsaw. McLean was traveling southbound on South SR 15 near the Ranch Road intersection, Warsaw. She was on her cellphone. Her vehicle hit Hickman’s. McLean complained of leg and thumb pain. Hickman complained of neck pain. Both were checked out by medics. Damage up to $5,000.
  • 7:42 a.m. Sunday, Dec. 6, East Center Street, Warsaw. Driver: Louis J. Seitz, 62, East CR 250S, Pierceton. Seitz was traveling westbound on East Center Street, Warsaw, when his vehicle hit a deer. Damage up to $10,000.
  • 7:25 a.m. Friday, Dec. 4, South Union Street north of Lakeland Drive, Warsaw. Drivers: Carrie K. Long, 44, EMS B28 Lane, Pierceton, and Ariel Herrera, 17, East CR 400S, Warsaw. Long was traveling northbound on South Union Street approaching 907 S. Union St., Warsaw. She thought she saw another vehicle with its bright lights activated, causing her to not be able to see. She didn’t realize that Herrera’s vehicle was stopped in front of her and her vehicle hit Herrera’s. Damage up to $10,000.
  • 7:08 a.m. Friday, Dec. 4, Short Ridge Drive near Mile Marker No. 1829, Warsaw. Driver: Karen D. Clark, 45, Short Ridge Drive, Warsaw. Clark was backing her vehicle out of her driveway at Short Ridge Drive, Warsaw. She was talking with her children and didn’t realize that another vehicle was in the roadway outside of a neighboring house. Clark’s vehicle hit the other one. Damage up to $2,500.

Fulton County

Officers with the Fulton County Sheriff’s Office investigated the following accidents:

  • 6:49 a.m. Monday, Dec. 7, SR 114 and CR 600W, Kewanna. Driver: Ryan J. Clark, 34, Fulton. Hit deer.
  • 9:23 a.m. Saturday, Dec. 5, CR 400S and Old US 31, Rochester. Drivers: Ryan A. Whitaker, 22, Rochester; and Rita M. Stickler, 51, Macy. The two vehicles collided.
  • 9:29 p.m. Friday, Dec. 4, West Rochester Street, Akron. Driver: Michael D. Purvis, 42, Plymouth. Hit deer.
