Canada becomes 3rd country to approve Pfizer’s COVID vaccine as U.S. continues review
Canada’s health regulators approved Pfizer’s coronavirus vaccine on Wednesday, becoming the third nation to authorize the experimental shots as the U.S. prepares to do so within days. Health Canada said a “thorough, independent review” confirmed the vaccine meets the department’s “stringent safety, efficacy and quality requirements” — echoing similar findings by the U.K. and Bahrain, both of which approved the shots earlier this month.
