Clarise C. Cloud, 95, of Wakarusa, passed away at 10:07 a.m., Thursday, Dec. 10, 2020, at her residence after a short illness. She was born June 17, 1925, in Minnesota to Arthur and Myrtle (Schrader) Thews.

Clarise C. Cloud

Clarise was a 1943 graduate of Wakarusa High School. On March 23, 1947, she married Leonard C. Cloud in Wakarusa. He preceded her in death Dec. 9, 1995. She was a lifetime area resident.  Clarise enjoyed gardening, flowers, birds and crafts.

Surviving are her children, Susan (Gerry) Olinghouse, Westfield, Michael (Barbara) Cloud, Goshen, Sandra Mohr, Wakarusa; grandchildren, Amanda (Allen) Hanavan, Angela Olinghouse, Kevin (Jodee) Cloud, Nicole Cloud, Melissa (Stacey) McNeal, Jennifer (Greg) Moeller; 8 great-grandchildren.  She was preceded in death by a grandson, Jason Cloud; sister, Mardell Wiggins; and a brother, Earl “Bud” Thews.

Private family services will take place. Pastor Renee Kanagy will officiate. Burial will be in Olive West Cemetery.

Memorial contributions may be given to the Center for Hospice Care, Elkhart.

Arrangements are with Thompson-Lengacher & Yoder Funeral Home, Wakarusa.
