Four Indian ships arrive in Sri Lanka
Four Indian naval ships have arrived in Sri Lanka ports this morning as a part of a joint training program with Sri Lanka Navy.
Three Indian ships arrived at the Trincomalee Harbour while another reached the Colombo Harbour. The Sri Lanka Navy gave a ceremonial welcome. The ships will remain in Sri Lanka till 15th of this month. A group of 160 visiting Indian naval officer cadets is scheduled to participate in a series of training programmes organized by the Sri Lanka Navy during the course of their six day stay. The joint exercise is aimed at improving the relationship between the navies of the two neighbouring countries.
