New programme to create human resources for tourism sector
A new training programme has been launched to create human resources for the tourism sector.
The programme was launched due to the lack of human resources in the tourism sector. In the first phase of the programme, a number of courses in tourism have been offered for youths selected from the Central Province aiming local and foreign employment opportunities. The Central provincial Council and the Sri Lanka Institute of Tourism & Hotel Management jointly conduct the programme.
