Rose Marie Wright, 85, Warsaw, went home to be with her Lord and Savior at 8:08 a.m., on Saturday, Jan. 2, 2021, surrounded by her family and friends. Rose was born in Evansville, on Aug. 27, 1936, to Jesse and Louise (Kelly) Barnett.  She spent the majority of her childhood growing up in Southern Indiana.

She attended church in Illinois where she played the drums and sang in the church choir. She was an active member of her church community and she enjoyed writing music and poetry. She was employed at Armstrong Security in Illinois as Captain of the Guards for approximately 18 years until her retirement in 2015.

Rose is survived by her eleven children; Tom Durham, Warsaw; Mary Jean (Cannon) Rowland, Louisiana; Joyce Schleged, Indiana; Karen (Don) Hartler, Warsaw; Kenny (Sue) Durham, Ariz.; Cindy (Mark) Germano, Fort Wayne; Darrel Pitman, Indiana; Scot (Judy) Pitman, Huntington; Rex (Debbie) Pitman, Ridge Spring S.C.; Tina (Ray) Grell, Braidwood, Ill.; and Jesse (Janice) Cox, Kansas City, Mo. In addition, she is survived by 34 grandchildren, several great grandchildren and great-great grandchildren. She  will be missed dearly. She was preceded in death by her mother and father, four sisters, Ruby, Mary, Margie, and Vera; and three brothers, Tom, Herbert, and Butch.

McHatton-Sadler Funeral Chapel, Warsaw are in charge of cremation and memorial services.  A memorial will follow at a later date.
