Rosemary Maust, 90, Goshen, died of natural causes surrounded by her children, Monday, Nov. 23, 2020, at Goshen Hospital. She was born March 13, 1930 in Nappanee, to Neal and Fannie (Hochstetler) Slabaugh. On Oct. 23, 1949 at North Main Mennonite Church, Nappanee, she married Herbert Ray Maust and he died Jan. 21, 2013.

Surviving are children, Ronda (Steve) Chupp, Goshen, Rick (Tammy) Maust, Wakarusa, Becky (Dave) Schwartzentruber, Goshen, Rene (Mafra) Maust, Goshen, 11 grandchildren, 14 great-grandchildren, brothers, Paul (Janet) Slabaugh, Elkhart, Willard Slabaugh, Nappanee, Jerry Slabaugh, Nappanee, sisters, Judy Hochstedler, Nappanee, Shirley (Frank) Shoup, Massillon, Ohio, Linda Slabaugh, Goshen and a sister-in-law, Bette Slabaugh, Syracuse.

Preceding her in death are her parents, husband, Herbert, brothers, Levi Slabaugh, Vernon “Bud” Slabaugh and sister, Katherine Lederman.

Rosemary was a homemaker, seamstress and volunteer at The Depot for 50 years. She was a member of Brenneman Memorial Missionary Church and the Creative Circle Home Economics Club for 30 years. She enjoyed alterations, sewing projects and serving others.

There will be a drive through viewing from 1-2 p.m. Saturday, Nov. 28, followed by an immediate family burial. Enter the South Side of Yellow Creek Mennonite Church and funeral home staff will direct you. Pastor Steve Chupp will officiate, and burial will be at Yellow Creek Cemetery.

Memorial donations may be directed to World Missionary Press and The Depot.
