MILFORD — After almost five hours, a southbound Norfolk Southern train was on its way, and a northbound train, blocking crossings in the Leesburg area will soon be on its way as well.

An engine from the northbound train in Leesburg was unhooked and brought to the disabled Milford train allowing it to once again get into motion.

According to a Norfolk Southern worker the southbound train coasted to a stop around 4:45 a.m. to 5 a.m. this morning after a fuel pump went out on the engine. The biggest concern was clearing the tracks at Milford Junction with CSX, which would have caused a multiple train stoppage.

No other interruption in train activity was reported.
