Jaffna romped to a handsome 4-wicket win over Kandy inside of three days fronted by Shashrika Dulshan’s 4–wicket haul for 73 in dismissing their opponents for 222 in the second innings which was optimised by Dhananjaya de Silva’s unbeaten 82 off 110 balls inclusive of 10 boundaries reaching the target of 243 for the loss of 6 wickets at the SSC Grounds on Saturday.

Kandy, resuming their second innings on an overnight 172 for 6, was dismissed for 222 with Ahan Wickremesinghe, who was on 51, going on to make 77 off 101 inclusive of 8 boundaries and a six in once again top scoring for his side in the wake of his first innings 101. But the virtual lone effort by the 21-year old couldn’t pull Kandy out of the woods.
