Dambulla ran up 426 and reduced Jaffna to 220 for 7,wickets in the second semi final of the Sri Lanka Cricket National Super League Tournament on the third day at the P. Saravanamuththu Stadium on Friday. Dambulla extended the overnight score of 289 for 5 to good measure with Ashton Priyanjan going on to make 49 off 117 inclusive of 5 boundaries. Other contributors were Lahiru Samarakoon 43 off 50 hitting 4 boundaries and 2 over the top, Dushan Hemantha 37 off 74 sending 2 over the top and an equal number of boundaries and Chamindu Wijesinghe 28 off 44 with 3 boundaries and a six.

Opening batsman Ron Chandraguptha top scored for Jaffna with 97 off 135 containing 11 boundaries. Dambulla’s spin duo of Wanindu Hasaranga de Silva and Dushan Hemantha took 3 wickets for 42 and 2 for 51 in tilting the decisive game their way.
