Mohammad Shamaaz struck a captain’s innings of a cameo 73 off 87 balls powered by 3 sixes and an equal number of boundaries as Moors Sports Club pocketed the Sri Lanka Under-23 Championship Title chasing down 294 for the loss of 9 wickets in response to Ragama CC’s 293 winning on the first innings in yesterday’s final at the R. Premadasa International Cricket Stadium. Janishka Perera was equal to the task carving 72 off 128 inclusive of 6 boundaries.

Upfront Sohan de Livera set the tempo stroking a cameo 72 off 57 hitting 7 boundaries and 2 sixes. Ragama CC skipper Deilon Peiris, who shone with the ball claiming 5 for102, was adjudged the Player of the Tournament.
