Special News1st Esala booklet presented to Asgiri, Malwathu Mahanayakes

A special booklet that was prepared by News 1st for the Esala Festival of the Temple of the Sacred Tooth Relic in Kandy was presented to the Mahanayakes of the Malwathu and Asgiri Chapters.

The booklet titled Sirasa Namami, was edited by K. Meegahakumura of the Religious Affairs Section of the Temple of the Sacred Tooth Relic.

The News 1st team called on the Mahanayake of the Asgiri Chapter of the Siam Sect Most Venerable Galagama Sri Attadhassi Thero on Friday morning and presented the booklet.

Mahanayake of the Asgiri Chapter of the Siam Sect, Most Venerable Galagama Sri Aththadassi Thera expressed appreciation to the  Sirasa Media Institution, “for the task undertaken for the Sacred Relics.”

The Venerable Mahanayake said “your future tasks will be blessed by the gods and may the gods also bless all those serving as the Sirasa Media Institution.”

Director/ General Manager of News 1st,Yasarath Kamalsiri stated:

We are raising awareness among the people in every possible way and we also undertook a task ahead of the elections, to elect untainted persons to parliament

Thereafter, the  News 1st team called on the Mahanayake of the Malwathu Chapter of the Siam Sect Most Venerable Thibbatuwawe Sri Sumangala Thero where Yasarath Kamalsiri noted that over the recent past, we raised awareness over the use of drugs.

Mahanayake of the Malwathu Chapter of the Siam Sect, Most Venerable Thibbatuwawe Sri Sumangala Thero stated:

You worked hard to elect untainted persons to Parliament

The News 1st team also met with the Diyawadana Nilame of the Temple of the Sacred Tooth Relic where Yasarath Kamalsiri noted that MTV/MBC, together with News 1st of the Capital Maharaja Organisation Limited, printed this booklet with the assistance of the Temple of the Sacred Tooth Relic and that the Chairman , the group directors.

He went on to note that the Capital Maharaja Organisation Limited has always supported such national needs and has represented these needs. He stated that this is one such instance and today  this booklet presented to the Mahanayakes and the Diyawadana Nilame will be distributed to the devotees who arrive at the Temple of the Sacred Tooth  Relic….
