Goods worth Rs. 10m recovered – stolen from Battaramulla, Nugegoda, Pannipitiya areas
A group of alleged thieves responsible for a spate of robberies from garment factories in the vicinity of Colombo were arrested by police on Friday August 28.
The goods which were taken into custody were on display for the media on Monday August 31.According to police, the stock of goods taken into custody is worth Rs. 10 million.
Two (02) individuals connected to the robbery have been arrested. It has been revealed that the thefts had taken place in garment factories situated in the Maharagama, Pannipitiya, Nugegoda and Battaramulla areas.
