Army ruggerites for Malaysia
The Sri Lanka Army rugby team will take part in the annual Cobra ten-a-side rugby tournament to be held in Malaysia on November 12 and 13, 2010. The Army team performed exceptionally well during the season, finishing sixth in the Caltex league rugby tournament. They were unfortunate to lose to the more fancied teams by narrow margins. They also were semi-finalists in the rugby 7s and quarterfinalists in the Clifford Cup knockout tournament. The army emerged winners of the inter-services tournament beating Sri Lanka Air Force and the Navy in the league and beating the Navy by 17 points to nil playing some excellent rugby in the final.
