Defence Secretary visits Janadipathi Abisheka Exhibition

The Janadipathi Abisheka 2010 Educational Exhibition is being held in Kalutara on a grand scale.

Defence Secretary Gotabhaya Rajapaksa visited the Exhibition today at the Public Esplanade in Kalutara. The Exhibition depicts the progress Sri Lanka has achieved during the last five years. The people of Kalutara accorded their honour to the Defence Secretary for taking the lead in ridding the country of terrorism. The handing of letters of appointment to the new recruits of the Fire Brigade of the Kalutara Urban Council and the gifting of a fire brigade unit to the Urban Council took place under the patronage of Gotabhaya Rajapaksa. The series of events was organized by the Abeygunawardena Foundation with the mediation of Minister Rohitha Abeygunawardena. Minister Reginald Cooray was also present.
