President meets British and EU Parliamentarians
President Rajapaksa meets Parliamentarians of the United Kingdon and the European Union in London.
The meetings were friendly and cordial and matters of bilateral interest were discussed. Thereafter they had lunch with the President.
Among the UK and EU Parliamentarians were Lord Naseby of the Conservative Party who is also the Chairman of the All Party Parliamentary Group on Sri Lanka, Lord Sheikh of the Conservative Party the House of Lords, Lord Dholakia, Lord Grocott, Lord Wallace of Saltair, Nirj Deva, Geoffrey Van Orden, James Wharton, Nigel Evans and David Amess.
Ministers Prof. G. L. Peiris and S.B.Dissanayake were also present.
