Highest Tourist Arrivals Recorded Last Month

Sri Lanka Tourism Chairman Dr. Nalaka Godahewa has said that the country had last month recorded the highest number of tourist arrivals during a single month.

Dr. Godahewa has told Reuters that tourist arrivals to Sri Lanka is expected to exceed 600,000 for 2010.

A record 72,251 tourists had visited Sri Lanka in the month of November, which had brought the total number of arrivals for the year 2010 up to 568,000 at the end of the month.

According to Dr. Godahewa has said that by today (14) that number is expected to exceed 600,000.
