CCTV Cameras In Operation From Wednesday

The closed circuit television (CCTV) cameras that have been set up in the Colombo City in Sri Lanka are to commence operations on Wednesday (29).

Following an initiative by the Defence Ministry, 108 CCTV cameras in 28 locations in the city has now been installed.

The cameras are to be monitored by a special unit from the Mounted Police Division building in Fort.

The CCTV cameras are to be commissioned tomorrow (28) by the Defence Secretary.
