ITN to tread on new path in 2011

The Independent Television Network is prepared to tread on a new path with the dawn of 2011.

With the motherland entering a new era after routing terrorism, the Independent Television Network stepped into last year with the courage and acclamation it received by bringing on-the-spot reports on the humanitarian operations from three fronts. Throughout last year, it took the initiative of providing entertainment to the people giving what they wanted. It was in this process that the family channel received acclamation at several awards festivals. ITN won several awards at the People’s Awards ceremony organized by SLIM Neilsen in 2010, including the year’s people’s channel and the Nation’s youth Channel. At the SLIM Brand Excellence Awards Festival, ITN was feted for the fifth occasion with the National Business Excellence Award presented by the National Chamber of Commerce of Sri Lanka. The family channel which was feted at several awards festivals including the Raigam Tele Awards festival and the State Awards festival, also bagged a number of awards at the 2010 Sumathi Tele Awards festival. It is with pride that ITN wishes to remind that it secured the second place among the best news presenters in the reportage of news, at the Sumathi Awards festival. Independent Television Network also wishes to remind with pride that it is geared to come before the entire world on Six channels, armed with modern technology and new experiences.
