Golden key depositors opt to get their deposits from the previous Board

Depositors have agreed in the Supreme Court to get their money back after vesting the assets of the Golden Key Company in the old Board of Directors.

Counsels who appeared on behalf of the depositors when a Fundamental Rights petition filed by them was taken up for hearing, intimated to the Court about the agreement. The Depositors had agreed to get back their deposits after vesting the assets of the Golden Key Company in the previous Board of Directors headed by Lalith Kotalawela. The Depositors said they had already had discussions with the Golden Key administrative authorities on the repayment of their deposits. They said they had already inked an agreement in this respect.  The three judge Bench headed by Justice Shirani Thilakawardena ordered the next hearing to be summoned on the first of March.  A ruling was given to all parties concerned to report the progress of the work on this day.
