It is reported that an intense and controversial situation propped up in the political sector after JVP Leader Anura Dissanayaka made a special statement in Parliament revealing the breakdown of investigations carried out regarding large scale frauds and corruption of the previous regime and the Avant Garde transaction.

With the exposure certain politicians who were involved in frauds and corruption had even forgotten their political party and the stand they had taken.

In a media briefing Mr. Wimal Weerawansa was exposed as one who had failed to remember the stand of his party displayed to the masses. At the media briefing held on the 5th he severely criticized Mr. Anura Dissanayaka and in ‘Derana’ news telecast the malicious statements were quoted thrice with relish.

However, internal sources say Weerawansa has been severely criticized by his party and his political associates for the political blunder he committed by his idiotic criticism. His own party has criticized Weerawansa stating he stood together with the Minister of Law and Order Tilak Marapana, Minister of Justice Wijedasa Rajapaksa and Avant Garde chief Nissanka Senadhipathy in criticizing Anura Dissanayaka and his political criticisms corresponded with the UNP and ‘Yaha Palana’ government.  very reliable sources say Weerawansa who was severely criticized by his party and political associates has ordered not to publish, in his website, his statements in which he criticized Anura Dissanayaka.
