Ties strengthened with Buddhist State in Europe
Sri Lanka strengthens its ties with the only Buddhist majority State in Europe. The former President of the Kalmykia Republic of the Russian Federation and the Chairman of the World Chess Association Kirsan Ilumzhinov who is leading a Buddhist delegation to the country met President Mahinda Rajapaksa at Temple Trees yesterday. The delegation is visiting Sri Lanka in connection with the 2600th Sri Sambuddhathwa Jayanthia.
