Ven. Banagala Upatissa thero hospitalised
Ven. Banagala Upatissa Thero, the Chairman of the Mahabodhi Society of Sri Lanka and the Chief Sangha Nayaka of Japan, has been hospitalised following a sudden illness.
Venerable Banagala Upatissa Thero who had committed himself to spread Buddhism locally and internationally, is currently recieveing treatment at a private hospital in Colombo.
Venerable Banagala Upatissa Thero who has provided leadership to the religious and other services in the country is currently the Chief Incumbent of the Sanchi Temple in India and the Agrasharawaka Maha Vihara in Maligakanda.
