HSBC makes healthcare affordable

HSBC has spearheaded a medical scheme with Lanka Hospitals, Asiri, Hemas, The Central and Ceylinco Health Care Centre to offer cardholders a comprehensive health scheme that would enable them to enjoy expert health services at an affordable cost.
Under the new scheme launched on 1 September 2011, cardholders are eligible for discounts, savings and zero interest packages.

These could be paid in equal monthly instalments or upfront for outpatient department, indoor health care checks, general health checks, laboratory investigations, eye care, dental care, cancer screening and many more with further savings on prescribed medicines at selected pharmacies.
As a value addition, cardholders can look forward to medical programmes that highlight the importance of good health conducted by leading practitioners at the above mentioned hospitals.
Speaking on the new launch Nadeesha Senaratne, Head of Credit Cards and Consumer Assets HSBC Sri Lanka stated, “Health is a primary concern to everyone and you never know when an unforeseen medical emergency may arise which could drain you financially. We are happy to partner with five leading hospitals in the country that are fully equipped with the latest medical facilities and equipment coupled with leading recommended medical specialists to offer our cardholders the best treatment and health advice.” He further said, “We hope this will prompt cardholders to proactively schedule health checks as it is now made more affordable.”
This scheme is not only applicable to cardholders who reside in Colombo but island-wide. Patients, who patronise Asiri Hospital Holdings PLC, could receive the same benefits at Asiri Matara, Asiri Medi House Matara, Asiri Satellite Laboratories in Kalubowila, Ragama, Negombo, Kandy, Peradeniya, Kurunegala and Jaffna.
With the latest facilities of satellite laboratories soon to open in Batticaloa and Anuradhapura, cardholders can opt for CT (Computer Tomography) scanning (at selected hospitals) and other laboratory investigations at these locations.
