Tax concealed by govt. to be implemented from 2nd May
It has been revealed the tax increase that was to be implemented on 1st April and was withdrawn due to the opposition from masses is to be implemented from 2nd May.
The Value added Tax (VAT) that is at 11% at present is to be increased to 15%. It is said that the economy would be drastically affected if the government goes ahead with the decision to increase VAT. Specially, prices of all essential items would go up and as a result people will be hard pressed to make ends meet.
Currently, the government is confronted with a severe economic crisis and economists say all monetary reserves have been dried up and the present government would not be able to find solutions for the gigantic economic crisis that looms ahead.
