Demand nearly doubles at senior citizens food bank in Pasadena
On the first Friday of each month, more than 570 residents 65 or older wait in line for free groceries at the Pasadena Senior Center, its director says. An additional 100 have food delivered. In 2008, approximately 350 sought assistance.
