Cinnamon Grand celebrated World Tourism Day with a series of activities for kids and adults alike.
Forty kids who found the answers for a series of questions on Sri Lanka’s tourism hotspots as well as some of the world’s best known tourist attractions got an opportunity to spend a fun-filled morning at Cinnamon Grand.

The kids got firsthand experience on what goes on behind the hotel’s day to day operations and the offerings and services that are available at Cinnamon Grand to indulge tourists.

The dynamic training departmental team took the kids on a tour of the entire hotel which included rooms, restaurants, the presidential suite and other departments such as housekeeping, laundry, kitchens, chocolate room and cake room. They were also given tips on how to make the perfect bed, cake and chocolates!
Fun in the pool, Cinnamon grand branded gifts and a special quiz on Sri Lanka’s tourist attractions followed by a visit to the iconic Nuga Gama, the hotel’s own Village in the City, completed their ‘day- in-the-life-of-a-tourist-experience’.
There was a special tourism related quiz on Sri Lanka’s emerging attractions for the kids and a chance to show off their skills at drawing the Sri Lanka map! The hotel also launched a special personalised stamp and first day cover, the first of its kind in the country, depicting Nuga Gama, which since its inception in 2009, has been a venue that showcases and celebrates Sri Lanka’s culinary heritage, traditions and culture. A limited number of stamps and first day covers are available for purchase, at the kade (the village shop) at Nuga Gama for stamp fans. Call 0112497468 for more details.
