ARMY LAUNCHES PROGRAMME FOR INMATES OF CHILDREN’S HOMES IN JAFFNA
The Sri Lanka Army has launched a programme on behalf of inmates of Children’s Homes in Jaffna.
Nearly 200 destitute children are being sheltered in six Children”s Homes in the Jaffna area. A special programme was launched on their behalf at the Subramaniam Gardens in Jaffna yesterday. It was organized by the Civil Coordinating Office of the 513 Brigade at Uduvil. None of the children has left these Homes at all.
Various sports events were organized on their behalf. In addition to providing lunch and sweetmeats, the 513 Brigade also distributed gift parcels among them.
