Nations Trust Bank (NTB) presents for the fifth time the much-awaited Corporate Quiz for their corporate elite. This year, fittingly, it will run on a format akin the 2011 Cricket World Cup.
The Nations Trust Corporate Quiz Competition is an annual event initiated by NTB in order to foster a spirit of camaraderie, friendly competition and collective fun with the corporate elite of Sri Lanka’s business community.

If the past few years’ Quiz events are anything to go by, this year’s teams will enter the Championships in full force and engage in a keenly fought, highly competitive battle of wits. The competition as a whole is always fondly remembered by competitors and Corporates, and the Survivor Theme from 2008 and the Star Wars theme last year are still spoken of.
The 2011 Nations Trust Corporate Quiz Championship will feature questions from varying topics such as sports, general knowledge/current affairs, entertainment, financial markets and of course the bank itself. There will be power play rounds to add to the excitement and fanfare with live ‘papare’ music. The quiz will be held at the Sirimavo Bandaranaike hall on 18 October 2011 from 4.30 p.m. onwards. As opposed to last year when only 40 teams were invited, this year 60 teams will be invited to take part in the event in order accede to the growing demand of various Corporates.
The Quiz is a special feature in the Nations Trust corporate calendar and an anticipated annual event. It serves to bring together competitors and peers alike onto a level ground and encourages networking, fellowship, team spirit, goodwill and respect.
The 18 of October will indeed see a power charged event and will obviously differentiate the men from the boys in the quizzing arena. A cash prize of a quarter of a million rupees awaits the winner whilst the runner up will pocket a cool sum of Rs. 100,000 in addition to the many spot prizes as well as prizes for the round winners.
