Six groups of students in the resort planning class at Coastal Carolina University will present their ideas Thursday for a tract just west of the Intracoastal Waterway in Myrtle Beach. The director of the college's Center for Resort Tourism says the students have developed ideas for the area that was the site of the Waccamaw Outlets, Fantasy Harbor, Hard Rock Park, and most recently Freestyle Music Park. The presentations at the university's Wall Auditorium are open to the public. The proposals deal with such things as market demand and financial feasibility. Design elements include such things as an arena, shops, restaurants, and hotels.
