Newberry College president steps down
Newberry College President Scott Koerwer has resigned.
The State newspaper reported (http://bit.ly/uC5iZl) Koerwer issued a statement late last week saying he was quitting for personal and family reasons.Koerwer will continue working at the Lutheran school as a professor of business administration.John H. Hudgens II will serve as interim president while the board looks for a replacement. Hudgens also served as interim president after Mick Zais resigned to take office as state education superintendent last year.Koerwer had become president in July 2010 after serving for nearly three years as deputy dean at the University of South Carolina's Moore School of Business.
