Leading electronic payments network, Visa, has launched promotional offers with Jaz Hotels, Reorts and Nile Cruises, in an effort to help attract tourists back to Egypt
Visa classic, gold, platinum and infinite cardholders will receive up to 25 per cent discount on published rates on their stay when checking into any of the 45 Jaz Hotels and Resorts in Egypt from now until May 31, 2012.

“The travel and tourism industry in Egypt has long been an instrumental springboard to the economy and at Visa we realise the importance of teaming up with local industry experts to provide offers which will draw both international and local tourists back to Egypt’s beautiful beaches and cities,” said Tarek Elhousseiny, general manager for Visa North and West Africa.
“Digital currency is a key driver of economic growth and this latest initiative with Jaz Hotels & Resorts is a great way to help vacationers enjoy the convenience, security and safety benefits of using their payment cards when booking their accommodation in Egypt,” he said. Ulrich Huth, chief operating officer, Jaz Hotels and Resorts, said: “We look forward to welcoming Visa cardholders from within Egypt and abroad to showcase the best of what Jaz Hotels and Resorts and Visa has to offer.”  Visa has been a long-term partner in supporting and promoting worldwide tourism, not only encouraging travellers to take advantage of using their cards all over the world, but also supporting the hospitality industry in keeping up with the advancements in payments technology.
A sophisticated electronics payment landscape is a vital indicator of a secure environment for travellers to visit and spend in, thus encouraging growth in tourism and in turn the local economy through further acceptance of payment cards.
This offer includes one free night when booking three nights on the Visa platinum card.
Cardholders who book using any Visa infinite card will receive a 25 per cent discount on suite bookings as well as complimentary dining twice a day at the hotel’s a la carte restaurant.
