Independent Television Network has again been honoured with the National Business Excellence Award.

It is significant to note that Sri Lanka’s Family Channel ITN being honoured with this Award for six consecutive years. The National Business Excellence for Media was received by ITN Chairman Rosmund Senaratne and the Working Director P.G. Dassanayake. The Awards Nite held yesterday was organized by the National Chamber of Commerce of Sri Lanka for the eighth occasion. Asian Development Bank Country Director of Sri Lanka Resident Mission Rita O’Sullivan was the Chief Guest, while a distinguished gathering including President of the National Chamber of Commerce of Sri Lanka Ashoka Hettige, Senior Deputy Chief Sunil G. Wijesinghe and head of the Panel of Judges Prof. Uditha Liyanage graced the occasion.

Diesel and Motor Engineering Company received the Excellence Award in the Business Sector while Lanka Orix Leasing Company received the silver Award. Sri Lanka Telecom Mobitel was honoured with the Bronze Medal. Excellence Awards were also presented in the Small, Medium and Large Scale sectors. In addition, many mega business enterprises were also honoured for the skills displayed in various spheres.
