Jathika Namal Uyana founder calls for unity among Mahanayakes
The founder of Jathika Namal Uyana ,VenerableVanavasi Rahula Thero attended a media briefing at the Bauddhaloka Temple in Kurunegala on Saturday.
The founder of Jathika Namal Uyana,Ven. Vanavasi Rahula Thero charged that the time has come to deprive the corrupt Sinhala Buddhist politicians, organisations and other individuals who make decisions that are harmful to the religion and the nation, the opportunity of entering places of worship including the Temple of the Sacred Tooth Relic as well as the Sri Maha Bodhiya.
“The doors need to be closed to these persons”, he said. He pointed out that there are the three sects called the Siam, Amarapura and Ramanya sects and the Mahanayakes of the three sects must not remain divided. They must take measures to issue an order to all members of the Sangha by taking into consideration the plight of the all the laymen in the country.
