Speed Water Systems gives new look to water bottles

Many high and middle income households and most State and private sector organisations in Sri Lanka use 19 litre packaged drinking water bottles with dispensers due to concerns of health and convenience.

These 19 litre water bottles are subjected to scratches and dents in transport, disfiguring their appearance. Even though the water inside is extremely pure and hygienic, people do not like drinking water from a scratched and dented bottle. Every country that is hygienically packaging and selling natural drinking water is faced with this problem but they have not found a permanent solution for this yet, said Speed Water Systems Managing Director Nishantha Delgoda.
Recently, as a temporary solution to this problem, many developed countries have introduced a decorative cover for 19 litre water bottles. Going along with that development, Speed Water Systems has introduced a decorative cover for the 19 litre water bottle for the first time in Sri Lanka that covers the whole bottle fitted to the dispenser. When changing bottles, the decorative cover can be used on the new bottle. With this innovation, everybody will be able to see a water bottle with a fresh look in their houses and offices, he added.
Delgoda was addressing the gathering at the launch of the newest introduction of the company, a specially designed decorative cover for 19 litre packaged drinking water bottles held at its head office recently.
Speed Water Systems is one of the leading organisations marketing hygienically packaged drinking water in Sri Lanka. Sritrims Limited, a sister company of Speed Water Systems, is manufacturing these covers in China, according to international standards.
This cover is very thin, but extremely long lasting and durable. Speed Water Systems is marketing these covers at a nominal price of Rs. 175 as a service without any thought for profit. This innovation will be very useful for users of 19 litre drinking water bottles, from Speed Water Systems, or any other 19 litre water bottle under any other brand name.
This specially designed cover could be obtained from Speed Water Systems outlets located at 22 principal towns including Polhengoda, Rajagiriya, Wattala, Kirulapone, Athurigiriya, Dehiwala, Mount Lavinia, Colpetty, Bambalapitiya, Nugegoda, Battaramulla and Moratuwa and packaged drinking water sales points outside Colombo. The company hopes to manufacture this cover according to the needs of the customers in many designs.
Speed Water Systems, a 100% Sri Lankan company launched in 2003, markets hygienically packaged natural drinking water, purified using the most modern technology under the trade name ‘Speed’ all over Sri Lanka.
Speed Water Systems launched the ‘Water Shops’ concept in Sri Lanka for the first time to offer bottled water at manufacturing price direct to the customer. There are over 22 Speed Water outlets around Colombo and the company is in the process of opening more outlets in principal cities in other districts.
