SriLankan resumes flights to Zurich after 6 yrs.
(Srilankamirror) - After a lapse of six years, SriLankan began flying to the Swiss city of Zurich today (Dec. 23).
The service was suspended in 2005 during a global slump in air travel.
Zurich will be the 58th destination in SriLankan’s global route network which covers 33 countries.
The service will initially be twice-weekly on Mondays and Fridays and increased in the future, a statement by the airline said.
The Zurich-Colombo flight will operate via Male in the Maldives Islands.
