Columbia vet to remove arrow from dog's side
A Columbia veterinarian is caring for a hound dog whose owner found him with an arrow in his side.
WLTX-TV reports http://on.wltx.com/rC40j7) that Dr. Terrence Hunter at Cheatham Animal Clinic received a phone call Wednesday from a distraught dog owner.The owner's dog Roland had been missing for about a week, and was found injured. He signed ownership of Roland over to Hunter because he didn't have the money to pay for the help his dog needed.Hunter says the broadhead arrow missed all of Roland's vital organs. Roland is receiving fluids and medicine to combat infection and malnutrition.Hunter says Roland will likely undergo surgery to remove the arrow Thursday. Hunter hopes to put Roland up for adoption once he's healed.
