Dialog Axiata Awards Merit Scholarships to students who excelled at GCE O/L examinations 2010
Sri Lanka’s largest mobile service provider Dialog Axiata PLC is offering merit scholarships to 30 students, who scored top marks in the field of mathematics at the GCE (General Certificate of Education) O/L (Ordinary Level) examinations held in December, 2010.
The Dialog Merit Scholarship which is on its ninth continuous year recognises and rewards the top scorers in O/L mathematics from all 25 districts, inclusive of the five top performers in the Island. Under the scheme each scholarship recipient would be awarded a monthly stipend of 2,500 rupees during their two year GCE A/L (Advance Level) study period.
The list of students who are eligible for the scholarship scheme is selected by the Ministry of Education and is later communicated to Dialog Axiata.
Dialog Axiata has already granted 463 scholarships so far, inclusive of A/L and university level students.
