NC man stabbed in York County football argument
A North Carolina man has been arrested after he was stabbed in an argument in South Carolina about a football game.
The Herald of Rock Hill reported (http://bit.ly/AwjmK8) 44-year-old Derek Gene Woodrow of Charlotte, N.C., has been charged with assault and battery.York County sheriff's deputies say they were called to a Rock Hill home early Monday. A 34-year-old man at the home said he and Woodrow got into an argument about a football game on television.A sheriff's report says the older man attacked the younger man with an umbrella and a frying pan. The younger man stabbed Woodrow when the attack continued. Witnesses told deputies the younger man had tried to get away but Woodrow kept chasing him.It wasn't clear if Woodrow has an attorney. .
