SL Delegation To Visit Vietnam
The Ceylon Chamber of Commerce has stated that a business delegation from Sri Lanka will visit Vietnam in March to expand trade, investment and tourism.
The Sri Lanka-Vietnam Business Council of the Ceylon Chamber is leading a trade and investment delegation to Vietnam’s capital Hanoi and Ho Chi Minh City.
The visit is to take place from March 4 to 8 this year.
The Sri Lankandelegates are to meet key government officials and visit high tech industrial parks in Ho Chi Minh City.
“It will certainly boost economic ties between Sri Lanka and Vietnam” the statement has quoted Vietnam ambassador to Colombo Ton Sinh Thanh as saying.
Sri Lanka reportedly has a chance of attracting investments from Vietnam as the country’s external investments now total US$ 10 billion, especially in areas of making machinery for agro industry, food processing, fisheries and oil exploration.
A ‘Doing Business in Vietnam’ seminar in Colombo and a single country trade fair in Vietnam is being planned for 2012.
