GRAHAM FORD IS SRI LANKA’S NEW COACH
Graham Ford has been confirmed as coach to the Sri Lanka national team replacing Geoff Marsh.
Sri Lanka Cricket sources said today that Mr.Ford earlier met with Sri Lanka Cricket officials to finalize his coaching contract.
Former Australian Test opener Marsh was replaced just four months after taking over the top job in Sri Lanka last September.
Ford is a former South Africa coach. He resigned from his role as head coach of Durban team the Dolphins this week, citing a desire to coach at international level.
Ford will be Sri Lanka’s fifth coach in less than a year since their ICC World Cup final defeat to Indiain April 2011.
Tillakaratne Dilshan has already quit as captain in all three formats. He has been replaced by ex-skipper Mahela Jayawardene for the upcoming limited-overs series involving Australia and India starting on the 5th of next month.
