Namal Karunaratne, the National Organiser of the All Ceylon Peasants Federation commented on the News1st Gammedda Programme and persons who need to be imprisoned.

“We cannot win if we remain separated”,  said the National Organiser of the All Ceylon Peasants Federation, Namal Karunaratne.

He added that as a media iinstitution the Sirasa Gammedda programme is extremely important. He stated that a media Institution is doing what needs to be done by the government and they are building bridges, roads and are also involved in solving the drinking water issues of the people. And as a media Institution they have taken a positive step and this programme has grabbed the attention of the people.

Namal Karunaratne stated that those who need to be in prison are out in the open and they commit theft and they go to prison and come out as heroes and are welcomed with garlands.

He further commented on the former Central Bank Governor Arjuna Mahendran stating that rather than conducting an investigation on the massive fraud and punishing him, they have given another important position. They are taken along on overseas trips and they are the same ones who provide advice.
