CMA CGM announces new revenue restoration program

CMA CGM Group last week announced a new rate restoration program as follows:
GENERAL RATE INCREASE
Effective 1 February 2012:

•From US to Far East
+USD 75 per 20’ dry
+USD 150 per 40’ dry and 40’HC dry
Effective February 9th, 2012:
•From India and Pakistan to Europe and Med
+USD 200 per 20’ dry and reefer
+USD 400 per 40’ dry and reefer
•From Med to the Eastern Coast of the US
+EUR 200 per TEU
Effective 15 February 2012:
•From North Europe, the United Kingdom and the Scandinavia region to the Far East(China, Japan, Korea, & South East Asia countries)
+USD 200 per container
•From India and Middle East Gulf to East Africa (SWAX service)
+USD 200 per teu
•From West Med / Adriatic / East med to the Far East(China, Japan, Korea, & South East Asia countries)
+USD 50 per container, for all kind of waste, plastic, paper, metal
Effective 1 March 2012:
•From North Europe, the United Kingdom and the Scandinavia region to the Middle East and Red Sea
+USD 100 per TEU
•From Baltic countries and Russian Baltic ports to the Far East(China, Japan, Korea, & South East Asia countries)and to the Middle East + Red Sea
+USD 100 per TEU
•From West Med, Adriatic and East med to the Far East(China, Japan, Korea, & South East Asia countries)
+USD 100 per container
•From West Med and Adriatic to the Middle East
+USD 50 per container
•From India and Middle East Gulf to Africa (MIDAS service)
+USD 150 per TEU
RATE RESTORATION INITIATIVE
Effective 1 February 2012:
•From Indian Subcontinent, Pakistan to US East Coast
+ USD 320 per 20’
+ USD 400 per 40’
+ USD 450 per 40’hc
Effective 1 March 2012:
•From Asia to Adriatic (Med Lines)
+USD 250 per TEU
PORT CONGESTION SURCHARGE
Effective 1 February 2012:
•KENYA and TANZANIA PORTS (DAR ES SALAM and MOMBASA)
+USD 250 per TEU: for containers carried on the SWAX service (from India and Middle East to East Africa)
