Citi appoints Ravin as Sri Lanka Country Head

Citi has announced the appointment of Ravin Basnayake as Cit Country Officer (CCO) of its Sri Lanka franchise.
Basnayake will report to Tab Cuddyre, Cluster Head for Bangladesh, Brunei and Sri Lanka.

“Ravin is an extremely knowledgeable banker who has served in a variety of leadership roles within Citi. Our Sri Lanka franchise will benefit from his professionalism, experience and acumen,” Cuddyre said.
Basnayake joined Citi in 1988 in operations before moving to a client relationship role with the Corporate Bank. He has also served as Head of Sales and Marketing for Citibusiness, and Head of Global Transaction Services.
His most recent role was Head of Corporate Banking, where over the last few years he has built strong client relationships and promoted collaboration among Citi’s businesses.
He holds an MBA from the Post Graduate Institute of Management. University of Sri Jayawardenapura, and is an Associate Member of the Institute of Financial Services of the United Kingdom.
