With the decision of 85 officials, who are serving in director boards of state enterprises representing the Treasury, to resign protesting against the investigations being carried out on flagrant frauds that had been committed in these institutions, professionals including administrative officers, chief accountants, planning directors, engineers who have organized themselves as ‘Anti-corruption state Officials’ Collective’ have announced they would be willing to serve in those institutions as well as they have announced their support for the anti-corruption programme of the government.
Already, discussions have commenced and more than 350 experienced and qualified state officials have expressed their willingness to work with the ‘collective’ said a spokesman. The ‘Anti-corruption state Officials’ Collective’ would have discussions with trade unions and would assist in ongoing investigations regarding frauds and corruption said the spokesman.
