Lanka urged by US to take ‘concrete’ reconciliation steps
(Srilankamirror) - US State Department spokesman Mark Toner says his government wants Sri Lanka to take “concrete steps” on reconciliation.
The United States said this month that it would support a motion on Sri Lanka at the Geneva-based UN Human Rights Council’s upcoming meeting.
The State Department spokesman said Sri Lanka had not followed up on the Lessons Learnt and Reconciliation Commission’s many strong recommendations.”
