Shashi betrays Weerawansa!

Shashi Weerawansa, wife of former Minister of Construction, Engineering Services, Housing and Common Amenities of the Mahinda Rajapaksa governemnt and Leader of the NFF, has rejected all charges that have been aimed against her when the case against her for obtaining a diplomatic passport forwarding false information was heard today (30th).

She had said she was not at fault as she had not committed any offence.

When recording a statement Shashi Weerawansa has told CID all information in the application form for the diplomatic passport was filled by her husband Wimal Weerawansa and he entered false information despite she objected to it.

A hand writing investigtion had been carried out on orders from the Court and it has been confirmed that the handwriting on the application form is that of Weerawansa’s say reports.

As shashi Weerawansa claims that she is innocent the case was put of until 25th November by Colombo Chief Magistrate Gihan Pilapitiya.
