Printcare Plc, Sri Lanka’s global player in the printing and packaging industry, reaffirmed its position as the most innovative and high quality printing and packaging company in the country by winning all three awards on offer in the packaging category and by winning two out of the three awards in the new innovations category at the recently concluded COLLATE 2012 print competition.

COLLATE 2012 is a competition organised by the Sri Lanka Association of Printers which brings together some of the best commercial output in printing and packaging. This is a bi-annual event that attracted 1187 entries from printing and packaging companies across the country. Printcare picked up eight awards in total, winning at least one award in all the categories it competed in.
“This is the first time a printing and packaging company has done this in a long time, if ever. It is equivalent to winning the Gold, Silver and Bronze in a competition” commented Printcare Group Assistant General Manager R. Grero.
“We pride ourselves in being focused on a few areas that we can lead in, and I’m glad we were able to show case our capabilities” commented Grero. In addition to sweeping the cartons category, Printcare picked up awards in the New Innovations, Labels and Tags, Point of Sale Material, and Posters categories.
The only printer selected as a Business Superbrand, Printcare is a leader in the printing and packaging industries. Well known for being the global leader in tea bag tags and envelopes, supplying the worlds most reputed tea brands, Printcare is now a diversified group which is also involved in printing and packaging for the apparel and FMCG sectors, security printing for the lotteries and telecom industries, printing and binding for the publishing industry, and specialised digital media for the education industry.
