Chairman of idac Ltd., Rohitha Silva has been elected the new Chairman of the Chamber of Young Lankan Entrepreneurs (COYLE) at the 13th Annual General Meeting held recently at the Cinnamon Grand Hotel.

Established in 1999, COYLE has a membership of over 107 top Sri Lankan young entrepreneurs who are the chairmen controlling shareholders of the top 100 companies.
COYLE was formed as a Business Chamber with the vision to be the most influential and vibrant Chamber of young business leaders of Sri Lanka and it plays a vital role for national importance and gives unique forum for its members through professionalism. COYLE promotes entrepreneurship in the rehabilitation and development initiatives of the Government and international economic development of the country and largely to the Sri Lankan business community and commercial business matters.
Silva’s idac (Pvt) Ltd. is one of the leading companies in air conditioning and ventilation MVAC industry. It is encouraging and challenging to head one of the most influential and vibrant chambers although it is a great responsibility towards all society and stakeholders. It is his vision to lead the Chamber to greater heights in keeping with the COYLE motto – ‘Excellence through Recognition.’
Outgoing Chairman Nayana Dehigama and the Past Chairman K.H. Wegapitiya have contributed immensely in playing an important role in developing the Sri-Lankan entrepreneurship.
COYLE contributes over Rs. 300 billion to the Sri Lankan economy and provides employment to over 250,000 within its membership.
“It is very encouraging and challenging to lead this dynamic chamber of young Lankan entrepreneurs at a time when all Sri Lankan are looking forward to prosperity. It is globally accepted that entrepreneurs are the people who create wealth for the society and drive innovations and change,” Silva said.
“A crucial factor for economic prosperity, entrepreneurs need assistance, interaction and blessings of policy makers, peers and the public,” he added.
Silva will sit as the Chairman of Coyle among the 107 Chairman of the Sri Lankan enterprises and Wasantha de Silva and Sanjaya Jayaratne will sit as the two Vice Chairmen.
