T20 world cup tickets to go on sale
Tickets for this year’s ICC World Twenty20 in Sri Lanka go on sale to the public from Saturday.
The official ticket launch takes place on Saturday, with President Mahinda Rajapaksa purchasing the first ticket of the tournament, which will run from September 18 to October 7 in Colombo, Hambantota and Pallekele.
There will be a four-day window for Sri Lankan fans to secure their seats, before tickets go on global sale at 0900 GMT on March 30. A second phase of tickets will become available on August 1.
Tickets for single group games are available from just US$0.25, while the final is attractively priced between US$2.50 and US$45.
Those wishing to watch the Women’s World Twenty20 can take advantage of an even better offer. Entry to all group games will be free, while the semi-finals and final will precede the respective men’s matches and are therefore covered by the same ticket.
Online booking of tickets will be available by logging onto www.icc-cricket.com, where further details can also be found.
